ALLY MCCOIST admits he's worried about "mental fatigue" for Rangers ahead of Saturday's Scottish Cup final with Hearts.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men lost 5-4 to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties, as they suffered late Europa League heartache last night.
The match went to full distance, with the gruelling heat and pain of the defeat likely to make an impact on some of the first team stars.
And McCoist admits the match against Hearts on Saturday could be a concern.
He told talkSPORT: “Watching the game it was as if someone had flicked a switch with five minutes to go and all the players looked shattered.
“It was amazing to watch as the heat was very intense. And playing in that, it takes it out of you.
“It definitely had an effect on both sets of players, although I thought Frankfurt tired more than Rangers.
“There’s now a cup final on Saturday. We were talking about it last night – the physical side of it I think Rangers will handle fine.
“If you remember there was the extra-time against Braga and then we had the extra-time when we knocked Celtic out of the cup just after.
“So in terms of their overall fitness I think they’ll be alright.
“However, I think the mental fatigue of having to get over what happened last night might be a bit of a struggle for the Rangers players on Saturday.”
