ALLAN MCGREGOR was subbed on in the final moments of Rangers' Scottish Cup triumph over Hearts this afternoon in what appeared to be one final appearance for the veteran keeper.

The former Scotland No.1 has been a terrific servant for the Ibrox club over his two spells.

And if he is to call a day on his playing career, he goes out as a winner following Rangers' 2-0 win over Hearts at Hampden today.

Jon McLaughlin started in goal for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men at the national stadium.

The former Jambos stopper had very little to do throughout though.

And with Ryan Jack and Scott Wright scoring early into extra-time, the cup was secured.

So with less than two-minutes to go, van Bronckhorst opted to sub McGregor on to the field in place of McLaughlin.

McGregor was understandably given a massive reception from the Rangers fans.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, the move certainly appeared to be engineered to hand McGregor a fitting send-off.
