CELTIC have reportedly agreed personal terms with Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The Daily Record claim the Parkhead club have settled on wages with the US defender - but now must agree to a transfer deal with parent club Tottenham.

Earlier today it was reported Celtic have until June 12 to agree a transfer deal for Carter-Vickers with Premier League side Spurs. But this has been disputed by the new report which suggests June 15 is the cut-off date.

MLS Next Pro writer Larry Henry Jr reported the deadline to seal a deal before other clubs can make a move for the centre-back.

But the Daily Record's report suggests Celtic have taken the first step towards signing Carter-Vickers for next season by agreeing personal contract terms.

All that's left to do would be to finalise a transfer deal with Spurs - with the Premier League side reportedly including a £6m starting fee in the loan clause, a deal which could rise to £10m with add-ons, it's claimed.

Should no deal be reached, it's claimed Everton, Fulham and Bournemouth are interested in the powerful defender.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou remains hopeful they can sign both Carter-Vickers and winger Jota beyond the summer but warned there was still work to be done.

Reports in Portugal claimed Jota had informed Benfica that he wanted to trigger a clause that would allow Celtic to make his loan switch a permanent transfer.

Postecoglou said: “We are in discussions with them obviously, and as I have said all along, with these kind of things it’s never a simple process.

“But both have had unbelievable years for us and been outstanding contributors and both are really happy here. Our intent is to try and keep them at our football club but these things need a point where all parties agree.

“I am hopeful we will get to that point but at this point we are not quite there yet.”
