NIKOLA KATIC will be given pre-season to prove himself at Rangers, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has one more year on his Ibrox deal, but has spent this season on loan at Hadjuk Split.
And the club have the option to purchase Katic for a reported fee of around £3million.
However, Football Scotland report it's unlikely the option will be triggered and instead Katic will return to Rangers for pre-season.
And the report suggests Katic will be given an opportunity to force his way into Giovanni van Bronckhorst's plans for next season.
The website claims Katic will be watched closely in pre-season before any decision on his Rangers future is made.
Katic featured 25 times for Hadjuk this term during his loan stint - and made one appearance for the Rangers B team in the Challenge Cup back in August.
It's been Katic's first season back playing regular football after a horror cruciate ligament rupture saw him sidelined for a calendar year.
