CALVIN BASSEY has swiftly deleted an Instagram check-in post from Wolves' training ground amid transfer speculation linking the Rangers defender with a move down south.

The former Leicester man was a key performer for the Ibrox outfit last term as they made it all the way to the Europa League final, while also lifting the Scottish Cup.

Bassey's performances have resulted in transfer speculation linking him with a big-money move down south and Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa have been heavily linked.

Rangers fans are desperate for the 22-year-old to stick around at Ibrox and they were given a fright this morning when he shared a picture from Wolverhampton Wanderers' training ground.

He posted his location on his Instagram story and thanked a luxury chauffeur company for their service.

Glasgow Times:

Bassey is meant to be on international duty with Nigeria and they are set to be in action today against Sao Tome and Principe in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.

The post was quickly deleted by Bassey but fans had already screenshotted the picture.

It is understood Rangers would be holding out for a fee of around £25million if Bassey was to be sold this transfer window.
