HEARTS have provided an update to fans on their season ticket sales this summer.

The club have opened up the Roseburn Stand for general sale, with the Jambos having shifted 12,500 season tickets for the campaign ahead.

The Tynecastle outfit have today announced the huge uptake in briefs following last term's very impressive campaign, where the club finished third, guaranteed European football and narrowly missed out on Scottish Cup glory.

In turn, this update from the club means that away allocations for the season ahead have also been confirmed.

The season pass for the Roseburn Stand states that the ticket will be valid for every home match apart from the Edinburgh derby against Hibs - who are handed the full stand for the powderkeg fixture.

Rangers and Celtic fans will therefore only be given part of the stand behind the goal, with the allowance remaining at 1,400.

A Hearts statement reads: "Due to demand, season tickets will now be available to purchase in the Roseburn Stand when the general sale commences tomorrow.

"More than 12,500 Jambos have already secured their seat for the upcoming season during the recent renewal phase and we continue to experience a high demand ahead of the general sale at 9am on Tuesday 21st June.

"Due to the limited number of seats remaining in the Main Stand, Wheatfield and Gorgie Stands, we have taken the decision to release season tickets in the Roseburn Stand to allow supporters to buy seats together (many of the remaining seats in the other three stands are singles).

"The Roseburn Stand Season Ticket would be valid for every home cinch Premiership game, except for Hibs.

"As per previous seasons, Hibs will be offered the full Roseburn Stand allocation – with Hearts in return granted the full away stand for the corresponding fixture(s) at Easter Road.

"As such, Roseburn Stand Season Tickets are available at a reduced price, with the absence of Hibs fixture(s) factored into the cost.

"Roseburn Stand Season Ticket holders would, however, be guaranteed the chance to buy a ticket for every home European tie (minimum of four games) this season and would also get priority access to tickets ahead of a general sale for Scottish Cup home fixtures."
