RANGERS defender Calvin Bassey has topped Scotland's charts for transfer market value increase this summer after his stunning campaign last term.

The Nigerian international enjoyed an impressive campaign in the Gers defence as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side made it to the Europa League final and also won the Scottish Cup.

As a result, football information gatherer Transfermarkt, have boosted Bassey's value to £9million, which is an increase of 2400 per cent.

Liverpool's Calvin Ramsey also has the same percentage increase in value after his breakthrough season at Aberdeen resulted in a stunning move to Anfield.
