RANGERS should be looking to make an 'aggressive move' to sign Martin Boyle.

That's the view of former Ibrox star Craig Moore.

The Australian international's future in Saudi Arabia has been thrown into doubt following Al-Faisaly's relegation from the top flight.

Boyle was sold to the Middle Eastern side by Hibs back in January for a fee of around £3million.

The big-money move certainly appeared to turn sour though, with the club relegated as they won just once in their last ten games.

This has cast doubts over whether Boyle will remain with the Saudi club, especially with the World Cup coming up later this year.

And Moore reckons Rangers should be looking at the ex-Hibees star - that is, if the Easter Road club don't have a buy-back clause.

Asked where Boyle could go, he told the Go Radio Football Show: "Celtic, no, Rangers, definitely could be a possibility. I think Rangers are in a situation where they might be looking at a right winger in terms of strengthening the squad.

"Hagi is still injured, I know Wright and Sakala have played there but there are not natural winger types. Someone like Martin Boyle, who has proven himself, that for me would be very interesting and I'm sure Rangers will be monitoring the situation.

"I hope for Hibs sake that agreement is in black and white. Things can change in football, and Martin Boyle is someone who will have opportunities.

I'd love to see Rangers be nice and aggressive and see what is possible with the Martin Boyle situation. He is a player who showed up against Rangers and caused them all sorts of problems.

"If there is any opportunity Rangers should be quite aggressive. They definitely need a right winger."
