JOTA is reportedly in Glasgow and ready to complete a permanent transfer switch to Celtic.

The Portuguese winger made himself an instant fan favourite during his loan spell from Benfica last season.

And Celtic fans have been desperately hoping a permanent deal is just around the corner.

The club hold the right to sign the winger, 23, for around £6.4million as part of the loan deal last term.

And it's expected Jota will pen a permanent move to Celtic after an extended summer break.

We previously told that the move was placed on hold as the winger enjoyed holidays during the off-season but a deal was still ready to be completed.

Now Football Scotland claim Jota is back in Glasgow to put the finishing touches on his permanent transfer to Celtic.

It would be another major boost to Ange Postecoglou this summer with Cameron Carter-Vickers making his loan permanent and Benji Siegrist joining the goalkeeping ranks.

This morning Alexandro Bernabei was announced as the latest addition to the Parkhead squad joining in a £3.75m move from Argentine club Lanus.

And according to reports Jota could be the next player through the doors at Celtic Park with a move close to completion.
