BARRY FERGUSON reckons Rangers should command more than £55million for four top Ibrox assets should transfer interest arise this summer.

The former Rangers captain has backed club chiefs not to sell stars on the cheap this summer, instead stating the club could demand serious cash to part with players.

Alfredo Morelos, Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent have been consistently linked with moves away from Ibrox in recent years - and it's been no different this summer.

Sevilla have been credited with serious interest in Morelos, Crystal Palace reportedly keen on a swoop for Aribo and Leeds' Kent interest clear from past windows.

The Rangers trio are entering the final year of their respective deals but Ferguson reckons the club could still demand decent fees if the players were to move on.

For Ferguson it'd take at least £10m for any of the players to be allowed to move this summer which would allow Giovanni van Bronckhorst to reinvest in his squad.

It's unlikely all three would be allowed to move on in one manic window, but for Ferguson even if that was the case then it'd be at least £30m in the bank.

However, Ferguson wouldn't be surprised to see Morelos sign a contract extension at Ibrox to end any speculation over his future.

Speaking on Go Radio, the pundit explained: "For me when he (Morelos) is fit, and he is at it, he is a top striker. For me, don't be surprised if he signs an extension, because he is loved at Rangers.

"When you have got him in the right of mind he is a top striker. I think if you ask any team in the Scottish league, or in Europe that Rangers played, they wouldn't have wanted to face him.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Morelos signs, but you just see he is enjoying his football.

"All the guys that are coming into the final year Gio will be wanting to sit them down and get a vibe off of them, if they want to commit or if they want to play their football elsewhere.

"With Raphinha moving on, it's always been an open secret that Leeds like Ryan Kent. That is one that I'm sure fans will be watching with interest. Also you have Joe Aribo, with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. He is another I would like to stay, but money talks. Rangers have been open about it, if someone meets the valuation.

"I don't think they will let them go cheap. Rangers bought Ryan for £7million and he is going into the final year, but Rangers have got to be looking for £10m for him and the same for Aribo in my opinion, and the same for Morelos."

Ferguson also demanded a major fee be agreed should Calvin Bassey be wanted by clubs this summer.

The full-back - who also excelled centrally - was a key player in the run to the Europa League final and ever-present under Van Bronckhorst.

Ferguson insists the defender, just 22, is only going to improve and insists it'd take a fee of at least £25m for Rangers to consider selling.

He added: "He has everything you want in a modern day defender. His engine is frightening, and he's just getting better and better. If I was able to give him a bit of advice, it would be to stay and keep playing week in week out.

"His chance will come if he wants to come and go to the English Premier League. This season you can't let him go, unless something ridiculous comes in.

"You have got to be looking at Kieran Tierney money. £25million, you have got to be looking at that."
