CELTIC have unveiled their new adidas home kit for the upcoming season.

The club shared the first glimpse of the shirt this morning.

It features a "subtle pattern" within the traditional green hoops in a throwback to previous kits in 1988 and 1997.

A grey star can be seen above the club crest, with the adidas three-stripe branding a matching colour on the shoulders.

The shorts are white with a small band of green along the bottom, and the socks feature green and white hoops like the shirt.

Announcing the kit, a club statement read: "Continuing the retro theme and drawing inspiration from the success of seasons past, the new Home Kit gives a nod to both the โ€™88 and โ€™97 Hoops in its detail, with a subtle pattern within the green hoops.

"The fresh new shirt also features a grey star above the Celtic crest which sits proudly on the chest, with matching classic adidas three-stripe detailing to the shoulders.

"Matching shorts with three-stripe detailing and green and white hooped socks with CELTIC branding completes the new look for the Celts at home this season."

Fans can pre-order the kit from today with the release going on sale on July 15.
