ST MIRREN have unveiled their new all-black away kit for the upcoming season with help from 'Tell Me Something Good' DJ Ewan McVicar.

The Buddies revealed a full black away strip with the shirt featuring the Paisley pattern - similar to the club's home shirt.

Lifelong St Mirren supporter McVicar joined the kit launch with a video using his hit 'Tell Me Something Good' - which spent 13 weeks in the UK charts.

The short clip shows St Mirren first-team, women's team and academy players partying inside the SMiSA stadium as McVicar reveals the new strip.

The blacked-out strip will be worn by every St Mirren squad for the upcoming season.

McVicar - who wears St Mirren gear while performing around the globe - said: “The new away kit is one of my favourite strips St Mirren has ever released. I can’t wait to wear the new top this summer.

“At all the big gigs I have played, I’ve worn a piece of St Mirren kit to feel a sense of home. I have grown up supporting St Mirren and it means the world to me to be walking through the tunnel being filmed wearing the new away top. It is unreal.”

Keith Lasley, Chief Operating Officer at St Mirren added: “Unveiling a new strip is always exciting, but to have the support of such a huge fan with this broad an appeal creates a special kind of buzz.

“Ewan has been really enthusiastic about working with us, and I know the team had a great day filming the launch video.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the new strips in the stands this coming season!”
