BILLY GILMOUR looks set to head out on loan from Chelsea after being cut from the Stamford Bridge pre-season training squad.

Football London say that 21-year-old has been left out by Thomas Tuchel and he will now join the development squad before heading out on a loan deal.

Gilmour had been been given a chance to impress on the pre-season tour in America but he was not involved as Chelsea defeated Club America.

The Scotland international could end up at Everton this summer with boss Frank Lampard an admirer from his time as Chelsea boss.

Chelsea headed to the United States for the bulk of their pre-season where they were joined by the eye-catching signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

Having lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, the addition of centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly could prove vital to their trophy ambitions which began with their narrow friendly win over Club America on Sunday.
