ALFREDO MORELOS has shared a series of fitness updates on his Instagram as he gets down to work ahead of the new season.

The Colombian striker missed out on the tail end of the last campaign due to a thigh strain and as a result he was absent from both the Europa and Scottish Cup finals.

Morelos has been the subject of plenty transfer speculation this summer, but it remains to be seen where he will end up next term.

La Liga giants Sevilla have been credited with an interest, while there is also reported Premier League clubs keeping an eye on the 26-year-old.

Morelos sported his Rangers gear on Instagram as he was put through his paces at the club's training ground.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst updated supporters on Morelos and other squad members' fitness earlier this week.

He said: “For some players it was their first game of pre-season and I was really happy nearly everyone could feature and get minutes.

“We prepare now for a big week because we are playing two really good quality opponents. After that we prepare for the start of the season.

“Morelos is doing partial training with the team now, Filip is still not training with us he had a setback so we have to wait and see how that is developing.

“Fashion got a knock in training on Thursday. He trained Friday but wasn’t feeling 100 per cent so we decided not to take him. Alex is still in recovery.”
