DARREN MOORE has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Kemar Roofe with a move to Sheffield Wednesday.

The striker is reportedly a transfer target for the Owls this summer.

The 29-year-old is currently recovering from a calf injury and is set to miss the start of the season.

He scored 16 goals last term as he played a key role in the second half of the campaign to help Rangers reach the Europa League and Scottish Cup finals.

He has yet to appear for the club in pre-season, which has led to people questioning his future at the Light Blues.

Wednesday boss Moore has spoken about the areas he'd like to add to his squad ahead of the new season.

But when asked directly about a move for Roofe on BBC Radio Sheffield, he would not be drawn on recent rumours.

He said: "It is fine-tuning at this stage and probably adding a little bit more depth. It is looking at the squad and bringing in different possible dimensions to the team. That's ultimately what we are looking at from here."

On Roofe, he added: "I can't be drawn into that because they are simply not our players to discuss at this moment."
