Former Hearts star and newspaper columnist Ryan Stevenson reckons Alfredo Morelos is his favourite for Player of the Year.
Celtic winger Jota is many Hoops fans pick to grab the top individual prizes but Stevenson remains unconvinced by the fleet-footed winger.
The Portuguese star signed a permanent deal from Benfica this summer in a £6.5m transfer deal.
But Stevenson doesn't expect him to be in the running for any gongs come the end of the season.
He told the Daily Record: "If Morelos stays and is fit and firing I can see him landing both prizes. I know a lot of Celtic fans will say Jota for Player of the Year but I was never convinced by him and felt he was a bit of a sand-dancer at times.
"I’m also interested to see how Tom Lawrence does at Ibrox because I was a big fan of his while he was at Derby and thought a Premier League team might have taken a punt on him. But I’m hoping Lawrence Shankland has an absolutely outstanding season at Hearts and gets himself involved in the fight too.”
