JOHN SOUTTAR has not travelled to Belgium and will not be part of the Champions League clash with USG on Tuesday night.

The defender made his Rangers debut on Saturday as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side beat Livingston in their Premiership opener.

Souttar endured a difficult bow at the Tony Macaroni Arena and was replaced by James Sands after 67 minutes before Scott Arfield and James Tavernier netted.

Now he has been left out of the squad for the third qualifying round clash at Den Dreef as Rangers bid to reach the play-off rounds and move closer to a place in the group stages.

He has a slight knock from the weekend's action.

Ryan Kent has also been left at home.

The winger picked up an ankle knock during the weekend win over Livingston.

The injury is not thought to be serious though and he could return to face Kilmarnock on Saturday.
