SET PIECE ISSUES

Defending from set pieces was a problem for Celtic last season and again today they were troubled with the height of their opponents. A corner saw County draw the game level as Owura Edwards lofted a ball into the box for Alex Iacovotti to bullet home a header. The situation could have been dealt with better by Celtic in all honesty and Ange Postecoglou will be disappointed in the way his team lost the goal. Improvements still to be made, but defending set pieces will be something the team are working on.

GREAT MENTALITY

After a successful start last week against Aberdeen, Ange Postecoglou’s team will be delighted to add a further three points on the board. With Rangers having started the campaign well too it looks like slim margins at the top of the table. With the score at 1-1 in Dingwall the Hoops dug deep to ensure they took the win. Celtic dominated large periods of the game and Kyogo’s opener was a well-worked team goal. Celtic could have done more in front of goal, but the performances will come. Three points were the most important outcome.

DREAM DEBUT

It was a dream debut for Mortiz Jenz who scored the crucial second to help grab an important three points for Celtic. Overall it was an impressive display by Jenz who was in for Stephen Welsh, who had an illness. "Unfortunately Stephen pulled up a bit ill after training yesterday," Postecoglou told the BBC pre-match. "He misses out but Moritz has been training well and gets his first start for us - we're confident he'll do well.". Welsh has started the season well but Jenz looks like he could be a real handy addition for Postecoglou. The German stopper will improve with more games when he becomes accustomed to the Scottish game.
