SCOTT ALLAN and Rangers hero Kris Boyd enjoyed a comical on-air exchange when discussing Scottish football's best talent.
Former Celtic and Hibs man Allan hailed Jota for his impact in the Premiership and he reckons the Portuguese winger is a level above the rest.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: "For me, he's the best player in the league. His numbers last season were incredible.
"He's a player that when he gets on the ball, you know something is going to happen. He's got that bit or arrogance on the ball that Celtic fans love.
"Another three assists yesterday. His numbers are incredible and I think he's a player that's only going to get better. If he keeps developing, then he'll end up at one of the big teams across Europe."
Boyd then hit back saying: "Jota the best player in the league? I'm not too sure about that. We'll move on."
