Jon Mclaughlin 6

He did not have a lot to do. Picked the ball out of the net twice, but neither goal was his fault. He did make a good save near the end to keep the game 2-2.

James Tavernier 6

The captain provided an assist for the equaliser, which capped off a brilliant one-touch move. Outside of that, he was unable to affect much of the game. PSV appeared to target the full-back as a way to curb him as an attacking threat. However, it was still a solid performance.

Connor Goldson 5

He was involved in the mistake for the opening goal for the visitors, with his header ending up in the path of Ibrahim Sangare, who tucked the chance away efficiently. His passing was also sloppy.

James Sands 6

The American was not involved much in the game and he played a few stray balls, which meant the Ibrox side was unable to build from the back. Solid enough throughout defensively and duelled with de Jong well.

Borna Barisic 5

He struggled to get involved going forward and, on a few occasions, got sucked into the middle of the park. This meant he was caught out of position on a number of occasions, and while it did not lead to a goal, it did halt Rangers' play at times.

Steven Davis 7

After an excellent firsst half, his passing was inconsistent in the second, which is unlike him. With PSV taking control, he struggled to get a foothold before being subbed off with 20 minutes to go.

John Lundstram 6

Did a power of graft but another one who was relatively quiet. He did not do anything particularly bad but was unable to do much in the match overall.

Malik Tillman 6

He was constantly pressing the whole game and tried his best to make things happen going forward until he was taken off. Tired towards the middle of the second 45.

Tom Lawrence 8

Put in a shift once again in a European tie. Never stopped running until the end and, of course, scored the crucial goal from a free-kick. He received the stadium man of the match, and rightfully so.

Ryan Kent 5

The winger was subdued throughout the match and was unable to get a real chance to run at the opposition. Rangers need more from him in the return.

Antonio Colak 7

Scored the equaliser, which got the Ibrox side back into the game. The Croatian was also unlucky not to have another when he forced a save from

Substitutes

Glen Kamara (for Davies, 71) 4

Offered Rangers more legs in the middle of the park, which helped them see out the game.

Scott Wright (for Tillman, 71) 3

Struggled to get involved in the game and had a few poor touches that led to the home team losing possession.
