GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst has confirmed Glen Kamara will not be involved for Rangers against Ross County this afternoon.

The midfielder played in the crucial Champions League win over PSV Eindhoven in midweek but has been ruled out of action this weekend through a knee issue.

Rangers are also expected to be without Kemar Roofe, Ben Davies and long-term absentees Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi.

Van Bronckhorst also revealed Robbie Ure will not be involved against Ross County - while Alfredo Morelos is suspended for the match after his red card against Hibs.

While it's a blow to lose Kamara through precaution, Van Bronckhorst said the rest of his squad from Wednesday night are available for the match.

Asked for a squad update in his pre-match press conference, Van Bronckhorst said: "Glen Kamara had some problems with his knee so he will not be in the squad tomorrow.

"The other players who played on Wednesday are fine and will be involved in the game tomorrow. It’s almost the squad we had against PSV, only Kamara is out and Robbie Ure is as well."

On Kamara, he added: "It’s not a knee injury. He just had some discomfort.

"He already had it before the game and, of course, it’s a very physical game on Wednesday so I think it’s better for Glen to not be involved tomorrow and hopefully be available again next week."
