Rangers ran six kilometres less than Ajax during their 4-0 thrashing in the Champions League it has been revealed.
The astonishing stat was read out on BT Sport after Ally McCoist queried the level of Rangers' effort in closing down their opponents.
And host Darryl Currie revealed to the frustrated Ibrox legend, his criticisms of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team's work rate appear well-founded when he announced stats gurus had measured the huge difference between the two teams.
The gap is especially galling given Ajax dominated the ball with over 75 percent possession.
Rangers are now in deep trouble after two 4-0 defeats in a row. They were smashed by bitter rivals Celtic on Saturday and hit with the same scoreline in each half today.
They now face Aberdeen at the weekend with manager and players under serious pressure.
