Celtic spent big this summer as they prepared for life back in the Champions League.
From a reported £6.5million on Jota, £6million on Cameron Carter-Vickers, which is said to potentially rise to £10million, to then almost £4million on Alexandro Bernabei, the club has invested heavily.
In terms of the team that lined up against Real Madrid, the 11 players in the Hoops starting line-up cost a combined £28 million.
When you then take into account signings from January and last year, Ange Postecoglou has probably spent around £40million assembling his current squad.
And while these figures dwarf any other team in Scotland, including Rangers, they are nowhere near the spending of some teams in Europe have spent building their groups of players.
Here we look at how much has been spent by clubs for this season's Champions League from matchday one.
PSG- £533m
It is no surprise to see the French champions at the top of the list.
Given they had £166million striker Kylian Mbappe starting, he alone would dwarf the cost of most teams.
Manchester City- £508m
Summer signing Erling Haaland added to their already expensive team by £54million.
Other top contributors to the half-a-billion starting XI are Bernado Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.
Chelsea- £405m
The European champions from two seasons ago have spent big in the summer, which makes the decision to sack Thomas Tuchhel, even stranger.
£250million was invested at Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid- £328m
Last season's winners boasted a huge amount of wealth in their starting line-up at Parkhead.
£100million man Eden Hazard also came off the bench.
Bayern Munich- £324m
The German champions added Sadio Mane to their ranks this summer which inflated their value.
They fielded the fifth highest-costing team during the first round of fixtures.
Barcelona- £311m
Despite apparent financial worries, which includes not paying transfer fees in full and deferring players' wages, the Spanish giants still had one of the most valuable starting XIs during matchday one.
This includes Robert Lewandoski and Raphina.
Liverpool- £296m
The English cup double winners fielded a first team full of big money signings such as ex-Celt Virgil Van Djik who cost £75million.
However, this did not stop them from losing 4-1 to Napoli.

The La Liga side have always been big spenders, and the team Diego Simeone named contained the likes of Joao Felix who he signed for £100million.
