BARRY FERGUSON has admitted that he is in no rush to make a return to football management.

The Rangers hero's last job came with Alloa Athletic last season.

However, the ex-Scotland captain lasted less then one year at the League One side, resigning following only nine wins in 33 games.

He had previous stints with Clyde and Kelty Hearts, as well as taking on Blackpool for a short period of time as player-manager.

While he still loves the game, he is happy with his life and doesn't want that to change.

Asked about any desire to return to the dugout, he told Go Radio: "I honestly don't at this moment in time. I have no interest whatsoever in getting back in. I still love the game and I watch all sorts of football.

"The last job put a dampener on it. I will never say never but at this moment in time I have no interest. I am in a good place. I have a bit of free time to do things I wasn't able to do between playing and managing.

"I've got my family life as well. It just didn't work out (at Alloa). It didn't put a dampener on me in terms of I don't like the game, but I though I had to take a backseat and doing something else.

"For me, it's all about being happy, and I am at this moment. Why would I change that?"
