KRIS BOYD insists Celtic got away with one today against St Johnstone.

Giorgos Giakoumakis scored in the last-minute to bag a 2-1 victory for the Scottish champions in Perth.

It came a matter of seconds after Alex Mitchell had equalised for the hosts at McDiarmid Park.

While Boyd says it's clear Celtic should've won comfortably when the statistics are laid bare, he reckons the Hoops have got away with the result.

He said on Sky Sports post-match: "Celtic are going to face this trend going forward, there's no doubt about it.

"When you see the way they've been able to steamroll in the early parts of the season, teams are starting to sit in against them.

"Today we thought it was just going to be Nicky Clark up on his own - it was Jamie Murphy up there with him.

"It didn't really happen in the first-half, but in the second-half they were trying to get bodies forward, they were missing out the midfield and trying to make Celtic defend.

"It's very difficult in every game you play to take every single chance.

"Celtic, they should be killing teams off. When you look at the numbers, they should've won this easy. But they've got away with this one today."
