GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst has admitted it's a case of "wait and see" over contract talks with Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.

The Ibrox pair are into the final 12 months of their current deals with talks ongoing over possible extensions.

However, Van Bronckhorst has warned it could be "months or even in the summer" when the contract scenario is cleared up completely.

Citing Connor Goldson's extension in the summer past after vast speculation he would leave the club, Van Bronckhorst urged patience.

The Rangers boss explained: “Of course you want your players to sign contracts sooner than later but you need two sides to agree.

“We had the same situation with Connor Goldson where he did not sign a contract during the season but then did so in the summer.

“We have to wait and see what will happen in the coming months or even in the summer."

But Van Bronckhorst is certain the ongoing discussions with the duo are not affecting their performances on the pitch.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he added: “Ryan is in and out of the game. He is improving his performances but I don’t think that is due to his contract talks.

“Alfredo is different because he came from a long-term injury. I don’t think the talks are affecting them. They are both players who want to improve.”
