RANGERS starlet Leon King was offered £10,000-a-week to join a Premier League club just two-years-ago, according to a report.
The 18-year-old is fast becoming a first team regular with Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side.
Coming up through the academy, the club have high hopes for the powerful centre back.
Due to injuries in the defensive area, King's game time has increased significantly in the past few weeks, featuring against Liverpool, Ajax, Motherwell and Dundee.
It could have all be so different for the young Scot though, according to The Athletic.
The report that he had a big-money offer on the table from an EPL side aged just 16. He was offered a five-figure weekly salary to sign.
A move never materialised though and King penned his first professional contract at Rangers until 2024 while Steven Gerrard was still at the club.
It's reported that interest from Premier League teams still remains, with Fabrizio Romano claiming Man United, Newcastle and Leeds have all scouted him recently.
