FUMING Ally McCoist has highlighted Rangers' glaring running statistics against Napoli branding the numbers "unacceptable".

The Govan outfit were defeated 3-0 against Napoli in their latest Champions League defeat and have now conceded 19 goals in just five games.

McCoist was once again left disappointed by his former side and he was quick to point to the stats at full-time.

He said on BT Sport: "They didn't look lively at all up front in the first half. There was a lack of movement.

"We already have the statistics through that Napoli covered 4.1km more than Rangers.

"I will cut the centre-backs a bit of slack and the goalkeeper is taken out the equation. That is 4.1km roughly between eight players.

"There Napoli have effectively eight players running 500m each more than Rangers. That is unacceptable for me."

Alfredo Morelos led the line for Rangers up until the 70th minute when he was substituted off and shortly before he left the field of play he missed a sitter.

On the striker, McCoist added:

"He looks off it to me. Let's be honest, he's been off the pace totally.

"The only way (his shot) goes in is if the deflection it takes beats the goalkeeper.

"I'm not sure it is a great pass from Scott Wright but he looks off it."
