Billy Gilmour would be open to moving abroad on loan in a bid to seek regular first team minutes, according to a report.

The ex-Rangers youngster joined Chelsea aged 16.

He made the breakthrough under Frank Lampard and stunned fans with man of the match performances against Liverpool and Everton in early 2020.

However, he fell down the pecking order after Lampard departed the club and found himself out on loan with Norwich.

This summer, he was then faced with more speculation surround his future.

He joined Brighton on deadline day for around £9million.

However, he has failed to establish himself as a regular in the starting XI and is still waiting on his first league start.

The Scottish Sun report that he could look to a European club in January as part of a loan deal.

He was signed on the south coast by Graham Potter.

However, with Potter going to Chelsea in the weeks to follow the transfer, Roberto De Zerbi seems less keen on the Scotland international.

This report states that Gilmour could leave the Seagulls on loan in the upcoming transfer window.

He is said to be open to moving away from the Premier League for regular game time.
