EX-CELTIC striker Timo Weah scored at the World Cup against Wales tonight.
The former Parkhead loan signing was on target for the United States in Qatar.
Weah spent six months on loan at Celtic in 2019 having signed a short-term loan from PSG.
The forward - son of George Weah - played 17 times for Celtic and netted four goals in his temporary stint in Glasgow.
He won the Scottish Premiership title with Celtic and helped the club to the Scottish Cup final but had his loan terminated after being called up to the US under-20 squad for the World Cup.
Weah's deal was cut short as he would miss the Scottish Cup to attend international duty with his country.
Tonight, Weah showed his quality on the world stage as he opened the scoring for the USA against Wales in their World Cup opener.
The attacker was played through by Christian Pulisic and slotted home well to send his side into the break with a one-goal lead.
Weah now turns out for Lille at club level having signed a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 side back in the summer of 2019.
