Michael Beale has come under fire from Celtic hero Chris Sutton over his commitment claims to QPR fans.

The Englishman today signed a three-and-a-half year deal to become Rangers 18th permanent manager.

It comes just 12-months after he left the club as its first team coach working under Steven Gerrard.

He left with the Liverpool legend for Aston Villa, before joining QPR in the summer for his first taste of club management. 

His impressive start to life at Loftus Road led to interest from Wolves. The Premier League side made an approach to speak with Beale about becoming their new boss.

However, Beale turned this move down, as he stated his vested interest in the long-term project at QPR.

Fast-forward six-weeks, Beale today left to become the new Rangers manager, leaving many R's fans unhappy.

And Sutton has not let Beale forget about this when touching upon today's news.

The ex-Hoops striker tweeted: "Michael Beale sent a solemn promise to QPR fans just over a month ago…"
