It's been a whirlwind few days for Michael Beale since first learning of Rangers' interest in his services.
On Monday, he secured his return to the club following a little over 12-months away from Glasgow.
The 42-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal until the summer of 2026 at Ibrox.
Serving as first team coach under Steven Gerrard, Beale followed the Liverpool legend to Aston Villa last year to continue as part of his backroom staff at the Premier League club.
During the summer, he was handed his first chance in management as he took over the reins at Queen's Park Rangers.
His impressive start to life at Loftus Road led to a growing list of admirers, including Wolves.
The EPL side had an approach for Beale knocked back by the man himself, as he appeared to commit his future to the R's.
However, fast-forward six-weeks and Beale is now the manager of Rangers.
The Englishman admits it was sad to leave QPR, however, he could not turn down the chance to manage Rangers.
In an interview with RangersTV, he said: "Whenever you get the chance to return is the right time. If you have the opportunity to come back to or work for Rangers it's always the right moment.
"I'm leaving a fantastic football club and owners who were very, very good to me so there is a tinge of sadness alongside the huge excitement to come back to Glasgow for me and my family to this massive football club.
"I don't think there was ever a moment I wouldn't have come back and I'm absolutely delighted to be here.
"I've followed the club closely every game. I still speak to some of the players and support them because we have been on a big journey together and had a big experience together in the past.
"The team has had some unbelievable highs in the last few months and I've been on that wave with them from the outside.
"These last few days, knowing there was an opportunity to come back and then reconnecting with the board and Ross Wilson to talk about it has been hugely exciting."
As part of the interview on the club's on channel, several clips were included showing Beale on his first official day in the job.
From reconnecting to staff members around the Rangers training centre, to what appeared to be a deep conversation with Ross Wilson, Beale was clearly happy to be back on familiar territory.
Beale admitted in his interview that he kept in touch with some of the players.
That was highlighted when he gave Connor Goldson a big hug in the video footage.
As well as reuniting with old faces though, Beale has many new players to get to know.
Among those includes John Souttar, who Beale could be seen embracing in the kitroom.
The Scotland international has been on the sidelines since the first game of the season, when he came off injured against Livingston.
Beale is eager to get some of his big named players back from the treatment table, including the ex-Hearts ace.
He said: "These few weeks are extremely beneficial. We know at this moment in time we're missing some key players through injury.
"It's important that we get them back quickly because our squad will be a great deal stronger for that. The squad is very well balanced, it's a strong squad.
"These were the things that excited me about coming back. It wasn't just the friendships before, it was believing in this group and believing they can go on to be very successful. I'm really excited to get to work with them.
"It's going to be a mini-pre-season in terms of ideas and identity. I want us to be on the front-foot, to take the handbrake off and for us to go for it every single week. I think that's what makes this crowd get excited.
"The fans come to see their team win, but they also come to be entertained. It's important that we both of those things."
Beale also alluded to getting to work on the training field as soon as possible.
Clips could be seen of Beale putting his new players through their paces on the pitches at the training centre near Milngavie.
They returned to the club today after two-weeks off during the domestic World Cup pause.
