Former Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has taken to social media to hail his League Cup-winning goal versus Rangers from 2019.

The Frenchman's strike from a set piece was enough to secure the Hoops their 10th domestic trophy in a row.

It is a game most commonly remembered for the Parkhead side being under intense pressure from their Glasgow rivals throughout the match, and despite being reduced to 10 men, they managed to hold on to claim the victory.

Goalkeeper Fraser Forster was the star man that day as he made several excellent stops and also saved a penalty from Alfredo Morelos.

Jullien, now on the books of Ligue 1 side Montpellier, responded to a fan on Twitter who had marked the three-year anniversary of the goal.

The centre-back simply replied: "Goosebumps."

Meanwhile, another former Hoops defender has been in the headlines after he was unofficially unveiled as a manager for the first time.

Celtic invincible, Kolo Toure, thanked both the club and former manager Brendan Rodgers while being unveiled as Wigan boss.

He played under the Northern Irishman during his first year in charge of the Parkhead club and has detailed how important a part the coach played in his career.

The Ivorian also featured for Rodgers at Liverpool, and after retiring, joined the Celtic backroom staff before eventually following his ex-boss to Leicester City.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank Brendan Rodgers because he is my mentor really," he said.

"I have been working and learning from him, and I want to thank him and his assistant Chris Davies and all the people from Leicester City and Celtic because that’s where I really started my coaching career."
