Celtic should not be expecting to receive "massive money" for Josup Juranovic this January.

That's the view of former Scotland and Motherwell star James McFadden.

The ex-Everton ace reckons the Hoops will make a tidy profit on the right-back, who starred for Croatia at the World Cup recently.

However, he cannot see a huge bid coming in from any club in the coming weeks for the 27-year-old.

Speculation surrounding Juranovic's future has grown and grown since Qatar 2022. He was a standout for Croatia as they finished third in the competition.

The likes of Barcelona, Torino, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited as having an interest in the full-back.

Despite his reputation growing by the day, McFadden can't see Celtic getting a ridiculous amount of money for one of their top talents.

He told Open Goal:“It looks like he’s going to be away.

"His performances at the World Cup (and) the teams that are mentioned, you would expect it that he’ll be away.

"I don’t think it will be massive money, but it’ll be a nice profit on £2.5m. For a Scottish team to get £15-£20m it’s incredible, but for these big teams it’s not a massive outlay for the.

"I don’t think it will be massive, massive money but it will still be good for a guy you signed for £2.5m a year and a half ago.”
