Celtic and Rangers have been warned it would take an 'extraordinary offer' to land Danish talent Casper Tengstedt by Rosenborg chief Mikael Dorsin.

And Tengstedt has insisted he does not expect to be transferred this month.

The 22-year-old who plays as a winger and a striker in Norway and has netted an impressive 14 goals in just 15 games and also has nine assists for Rosenborg.

Both Celtic and Rangers have been linked for the Danish starlet, along with Sporting Lisbon and Anderlecht.

However, the Trondheim club's sporting director Dorsin has all but ruled out a move unless a club comes up with a huge offer.

He said: "He's one of our key players. So if we have to sell him now, something extraordinary will be needed. I can't talk about amounts, but it will be something incredible if we were to sell him this winter.

"Casper has also been here for a short time, so I think he also understands that. There has been a lot of interest, which is natural when he has produced such a great season.

"But from there it is a long way before there is anything concrete. In football, you always hear about a lot of rumours and interest, but it's a long time before anything official happens.

"I can't say anything about the clubs that we are talking to, but it is normal that there is interest.

"They also know his situation well. He has only been here for a short time and they know we want to keep him. They also know that it's going to take something extraordinary to sign the Norwegian league's best player."

And Tengstedt believes he will start Norway's new season at Rosenborg.

He said: "Of course I have read all the speculation and I have to say it is exciting getting linked with many top clubs.

"It means I have done well because I have been noticed.

"But I expect to be at Rosenborg in 2023. I have a long contract here and I am sure I will start the new season with the club."
