Michael Beale has named his Rangers team to take on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The Ibrox boss has made three changes from the side which beat Aberdeen at Hampden.

Rangers progressed to the final of the Viaplay Cup with an extra-time win over Jim Goodwin's men on Sunday ahead of the midweek Scottish Premiership card.

Now, focus is back on the league with Beale hopeful of closing the gap on Celtic at the top of the league should the leaders drop points against St Mirren.

But the Rangers manager is expecting to face a difficult challenge from Derek McInnes' side before any thought on narrowing the gap at the league summit.

Ahead of the match, he said: "A really tough test (is what I'm expecting).

"I know Derek well, he’s a good guy. The Aberdeen battles between our teams were really tough games.

"He’s done a good job at Kilmarnock obviously getting them back up. They’ve got a lot of familiar faces in the squad with players that have got good experience in this league.

"They’ve lost one in nine at home. They’ve beaten every team that we’ve beaten since I came in, so game on, it should be a good one. We need to go for three points, not one.

"I’m sure they’re feeling the same after what was a really good performance at Hampden at the weekend. I’m sure while they’re disappointed, it will give them a lot of confidence for the remainder of the season."
