Rangers' New Edmiston House will officially open ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash against St Johnstone.

The "multi-purpose event and retail space" will host the club fan zone with a two-storey Rangers club store also opening for the first time.

Work on the club museum is continuing and will open later this year.

Entry to the fan zone will be on a first-come-first-served basis with live entertainment, a bar and food stalls.

A club statement added: "Access will only be permitted by showing your ticket for the match. Please note: New Edmiston House is a cashless premises."

Rangers director of commercial and marketing James Bisgrove commented: "The opening of New Edmiston House is a massive moment for the club.

"While it will be a focal point for our supporter experience on a matchday, this will be a seven-day venue, with regular conferences, concerts and other live entertainment acts utilising the superb event space.

"The new, two-storey Rangers store will raise the bar in terms of the club retail offering, in close collaboration with Castore and our official licensing partners'.

"The club museum will be a flagship attraction to New Edmiston House and Ibrox. Since I arrived at the club, the desire for a museum has been clear, and we are really excited with what we are going to share with our supporters, and many other vistors to the city.

"The specialist fit-out of the museum is now underway, and it will open later this year."

It's hoped the facility will be used by several "top music acts and conferences" in the coming months.

Names of fans who purchased the New Edmiston House supporter package will be inscribed at the museum.

The supporters will receive information on priority access to events staged on non-match days and first bookings for the museum.

The club statement added: "Supporters who purchased the official New Edmiston House supporter package will receive information on their priority access to events which will be staged on non-match days and first bookings for the museum.

"The backing from supporters who have purchased these official packages has played a crucial role in the funding the venue, and it’s hugely appreciated by all at the club.

"In addition, all these supporters will have their names inscribed at the museum and become part of the club's history."
