Liel Abada insists he’s not thinking about a new contract at Celtic.

The Israeli winger has been an inspired signing for the Hoops since joining in the summer of 2021.

Earning Young Player of the Year awards last year, the 21-year-old has impressed supporters, pundits and most importantly, Ange Postecoglou.

He’s well on course for another superb campaign with the champions this term.

It had been said recently said that Abada’s representatives was in talks with Parkhead chiefs about an improved deal for the exciting talent.

The player himself refused to be drawn on any speculation, though. He said: “For now, I am not focused about it, I am focused on the games. I don't want to speak about it and what will happen, will happen but for now I focus on Sunday."

As for Sunday, the Hoops make the journey up to Dundee for a 4pm kick-off against Liam Fox’s United.

The last time Postecoglou’s men visited Tannadice, they sensationally won 9-0 in a barnstormer of a performance.

Abada netted a hat-trick that day, along with Kyogo. The attacker has fond memories of that day. He’s expecting a tougher match this time around.

He said: “It was a great moment for me because it was my first hat-trick for Celtic but the most important thing was three points. Now we look towards this game and we just need to play our football, stay calm and keep going.

"Everyone did their job on the pitch and everyone helped each other. Everyone helped the players who scored and were attacking. We need to do that every game.

"Every time the manager wants us to score a lot of goals to play well and play attacking football. We work hard on the pitch to try and score a lot of goals and attack every time we can and we just need to keep going.

"Every time I get the chance I want to help the team get three points and to play well. It doesn't matter who scores. Of course, everyone wants to score and get assists, but the most important thing to get three points from every game.”
