Chris Sutton has questioned Rangers new boy Todd Cantwell's ability to cope with pressure in Glasgow.

The Celtic hero has watched the midfielder closely, being a Norwich City fan.

The 24-year-old sealed his move to Ibrox from Carrow Road earlier this week.

Like Sutton, Cantwell came through the ranks at the Canaries and is now looking to test himself at one of Glasgow's big two.

The pundit admits confident nor a lack of talent will be an issue for Cantwell.

However, in order to ensure he's a success in a Light Blues shirt, Sutton reckons the 24-year-old must make an instant impact to prove any doubters wrong over his perceived "touchy" attitude.

Speaking on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra programme, Sutton said: “I think he backs himself. I think he’s shown he’s a really talented player, but that was a couple of seasons ago.

"There is a huge talent in there and it’s up to Michael Beale to get that out of him.

“My issue with Todd is I think he’s a little bit thin skinned, I really do. I think he’s touchy with things and you can’t be that in the Glasgow environment.

“He has to hit the ground running. It’s all about attitude with him but there’s certainly a player in there.

“I wish him well and I hope Rangers finish in the top half and get to cup semi-finals with him in the team.”
