Rangers will be aiming to keep up their impressive run of form under Michael Beale when they welcome Ross County to Ibrox.

The Light Blues recorded their best performance under the leadership of their new boss as they defeated Hearts 3-0 at Tynecastle in midweek.

Malky Mackay's County will be looking to continue their own run of form as they are unbeaten in their last three games.

The pair last met on December 23 in Dingwall with Rangers winning 1-0 thanks to a John Lundstram striker.

Rangers and Ross County team news

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack shrugged off a shin knock in midweek, while John Souttar waits to make his comeback from ankle surgery. Kemar Roofe (shoulder) is not far away. Tom Lawrence (heel), Rabbi Matondo (knee), Steven Davis (knee), Ridvan Yilmaz (hamstring) and Filip Helander (foot) remain out.

Updating supporters yesterday, Beale said: "Ianis will be back training today. We gave him a couple of days off after the weekend because he had quite a few heavy days going into it and then he played at the weekend.

"It was important to give him a couple of down days as he was never going to be involved in last night's squad. He will train for a couple of days now and we will see [for the weekend].

"Kemar Roofe is back outside with the team, albeit unopposed but that is a really good sign. We might look at him for the weekend if we have to but if not we will push for next week. That is really pleasing news."

For County long-term absentees Ben Purrington (ankle) and Ben Paton (knee) are the only absentees.
