John Lundstram was pictured leaving Ibrox wearing a moon boot on Saturday.

The Rangers midfielder was forced off in the weekend win over Ross County.

The ex-Sheffield United ace has been a key figure for the Light Blues over the course of the last year.

He had to come off in the first half of the 2-1 win for Michael Beale's side.

It was revealed on Saturday evening that Lundstram had rolled his ankle when attempting to block a shot. Beale said he would be sent for a scan to determine the extent of the damage.

Now, a photo has emerged of the former Everton academy player departing Ibrox after the game.

Appearing on social media, the snap shows Lundstram walking out of the player exit wearing a protective moon boot on his left foot.

It is expected that Rangers will provided an update on the injury situation at some stage this week.

Speaking after the game on Saturday, Beale admitted it didn't look great.

He said: "It destabilised us today. John is really important to our structure. He was fantastic in midweek.

"He's gone to block a shot and he's rolled his ankle. It looks like quite a nasty one.

"We will take a scan on that and update after 24 hours."

Beale pinpointed Lundstram's enforced sub as a key moment in the match as he admitted it might have inadvertently contributed to the opening goal but also thrown off the balance in his side.

The Ibrox boss added: "I think that moment was quite a big moment in the game. We ended up playing with three number tens and two nines.

"That's what probably forced the first goal and probably made the game a bit more end-to-end for my liking.

"It was one of those days, I thought it was a performance at the end of a three-game week, that's probably how I would leave it."
