Celtic hero Scott Brown has been captured celebrating with Fleetwood Town fans after their victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.

The former Scotland international lapped up the applause from the Cods supporters as the English League One club reached the fifth round of the competition for the first time.

Brown's men ran out 1-0 winners against the Hillsborough side in the replay after a 1-1 draw in the previous fixture.

The Fleetwood fans were clearly impressed with their team's performance and the 37-year-old's management as they serenaded the Parkhead great with chants of "Scott Brown's Red and White Army" at full-time.

The ex-Hoops captain praised his players at the end of the match and made clear that his team were up against a good side.

Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, he said: "We seem to like the cup! We were playing an exceptional team and at half-time I turned around to see the land of the giants coming on.

"They brought the big guns on and for us, we were a small team today. But what we did do is look after the ball.

"I am delighted for these lads as I have gave them hell the last couple of days."

Championship leaders Burnley are the opponents in the next round for Brown's side.
