Celtic have been tipped to achieve 100 points in the Scottish Premiership for the first time since 2017.

Ange Postecoglou's men have been backed by Sporting Index to hit three digits in the league season this term and retain the league title.

Celtic currently sit on 70 points after 25 matches so far this season. Reaching 100 points could be achieved with ten wins in the remaining 13 matches this season.

Sporting Index have predicted Celtic to finish on 100 points - and end up with an 11 point lead over Rangers come the end of the season.

In turn, that means Rangers are expected to reach 89 points this season by Sporting Index - Michael Beale's side currently have 61 points after 25 matches.

Celtic last achieved more than 100 points in a league season in 2016/17 under Brendan Rodgers.

His side reached 106 points and went unbeaten all season with 34 wins and four draws.

Neville Burdock, Head of Sportsbook at Sporting Index, said: “There appears to be no stopping Celtic’s charge to the Scottish Premiership title, and after their 4-1 thrashing of St Johnstone on Sunday, we’ve nudged up their total predicted points tally to 100 for the first time this season.

“The Hoops’ consistency this season has been much superior to Rangers, and we can only see them stretching further clear on the title run-in, with their Govan-based rivals expected to finish the season well adrift on 89 points.”
