Alfredo Morelos has shared a cryptic "don't despair" message amid his ongoing Rangers contract talks.

The striker is out of contract in the summer and is yet to pen a new deal with the Ibrox club.

But boss Michael Beale has signalled his intent to keep the Colombian at Rangers past the end of the season.

The Ibrox boss admitted he cannot offer assurances over Morelos - or Ryan Kent - but revealed talks are ongoing over possible extensions.

Now, Morelos has shared a message on Instagram alongside a shot of him arriving at Tynecastle ahead of Rangers' win earlier this month.

He captioned the post: "No te desesperes Dios no es veloz ni lento es perfecto".

The words translate to: "Don't despair God isn't fast or slow, it's perfect."

It comes after Beale offered an update on the futures of Kent and Morelos at the club.

He explained: "There's a couple of things here; there's the players having their ideas, there's the club having theirs and I'm sitting sort of navigating through both.

"I think everyone knows my relationship with Ryan and Alfredo is really, really strong. I think they have both been here a long time and if they chose not to be here that would be on them.

"I would like them both to remain but that has all got to fit in with their plans and the clubs plans as well in terms of those players.

"I think they conversations are still to be had and are ongoing."
