Former Rangers coach Dave Vos has landed his first job since leaving Ibrox last year.

The Dutchman joined Rangers as part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's backroom team.

Vos arrived with an impressive pedigree in coaching.

The 39-year-old had previously taking the youngsters at AZ Alkmaar before rising through the age ranges until Ajax eventually headhunted him in 2009.

Spending a decade with the Dutch giants working in their academy setup, Vos eventually took charge of the club's under-18s side, as he replaced ex-Everton star Steven Pienaar

Van Bronckhorst trusted the highly-regarded coach to join him at Ibrox after he became the club's manager towards the end of 2021.

He helped deliver the club's first Scottish Cup triumph in well over ten-years and was also part of the backroom staff for Rangers' incredible run to the Europa League final last year.

However, when van Bronckhorst was sacked after just a year in charge, Vos also left alongside Roy Makaay.

He’s now become the head coach of Jong Ajax - which is Ajax’s second team - who play in the Dutch second tier.

Meanwhile, the referee for this year's Viaplay Cup final between Rangers and Celtic has been announced.

Nick Walsh will be the man in the middle for the powderkeg clash.

The Glasgow giants will meet at Hampden on Sunday, February 26.

Celtic defeated Kilmarnock the last time out at the national stadium, while Rangers got past Aberdeen in the semis.
