Simon Jordan reckons Celtic won't be beaten by Rangers "any time soon" as he branded the feud between Michael Beale and Chris Sutton as "ridiculous".

The pundit slammed Beale over his war of words with Celtic favourite Sutton as he bluntly stated "Rangers aren't good enough to compete with Postecoglou".

Former Crystal Palace chairman Jordan reckons the only thing that could derail Celtic in the near future is if Postecoglou departs - as he insisted there must be marked improvement from Beale, who he called "Johnny Loyalty" in a swipe at his QPR exit.

On the clash with Sutton in the build-up to the Viaplay Cup final, Jordan commented:  “Michael Beale is a mixed bag. He’s got this running feud going with Chris Sutton which is ridiculous. Both of them should keep their counsel although Sutton is doing what he’s paid to do now."

Jordan hailed Postecoglou as the "finished article" and offered a damning verdict on the future as he predicted Celtic would win - or at least avoid defeat - in any upcoming fixtures between the rival clubs.

On talkSPORT, Jordan explained: “Rangers aren’t good enough to compete with Postecoglou. Postecoglou is the finished article. We’re comparing Rangers and Celtic.

“We’re talking about now and Ange Postecoglou and what he is as a manager. They’re nine points clear in the SPFL and they’ve just beaten them in the cup, they’ll beat them every time they play. They won’t get beat by Rangers any time soon.

“Beale needs to get better in everything he does. Against everyone else they are good enough but that’s not the standards Rangers and Celtic judge themselves on. If he judges himself based on playing Hibernian or whoever else that are beneath him that’s fine but unfortunately for him he’s taken on a job in Scotland where the only game that matters is Celtic and they’re not good enough to beat Celtic and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

“Celtic are in a rich vein of form and have a proper manager in the dugout. All those naysayers 18 months ago about Ange Postecoglou, they’ve got the real deal now. The key component for Rangers is if that fella stays.

“If Postecoglou goes it changes the landscape because Celtic have to recruit again. He’s the glue. He’s the guy who has recruited the players and got more out of the Celtic team.

“We went to see them in the first innings of his management at Rangers and they were the better side but Rangers beat them because they had momentum. That’s very quickly shifted and it’ll be interesting to see if old Johnny Loyalty can turn them around.”
