John Lundstram has revealed the Rangers squad have held talks after the Viaplay Cup final loss to Celtic.

The midfielder insisted there were no people angrier than the players after the defeat at Hampden.

And he lifted the lid on internal discussions on how to rectify the situation and where Michael Beale's men went wrong in the showpiece final.

Kyogo Furuhashi's double saw Celtic claim the first domestic silverware of the season with Alfredo Morelos' strike rendered a consolation.

Lundstram admits the result still "stings" but urged his team-mates to achieve a win over Kilmarnock this weekend to get it out of their system.

"It was a tough one at the weekend," said Lundstram. "It stings but we have to go into the weekend now and get a result.

"We have to get this out of our system this weekend, we spoke to each other and we know we need to do better.

"Nobody was angrier and more disappointed than the players. You have to go home and look at yourself.

"I take responsibility for my performance. I wasn't as involved in the game as I would have liked.

"We have spoken internally about where we went wrong. That is on us as players.

"We have to stay focused, work hard and try to stay positive which is obviously hard after a poor result."
