Cho Gue-Sung insists he's not thinking of any potential summer transfer to Celtic or any other European club.

That's because the South Korean striker is looking to regain his form from before the World Cup.

The frontman scored 17 times in the K-League in 2022 before netting for South Korea at the World Cup in December.

That form resulted in a lengthy transfer saga linking the 25-year-old with Celtic.

Clubs from Germany and America were also linked with Cho, but he eventually stayed with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in January.

The Hoops instead decided to sign Cho's fellow countryman Oh Hyeon-gyu.

Just last week, Cho claimed he had no regrets over turning down a move to Celtic.

Now, the striker insists any potential future transfers are not on his radar at the moment, as he remains focused on regaining his form.

He told Naver: "It seems that my body is getting stronger because I think I have to score a goal. Coaches keep telling me to relax, but it's not easy.

"To be honest, I kept thinking, 'I want to go to Europe' and 'I have to do better to go to Europe.' But now that I think about it, that's not the motto of my life.

"Why are you wishing for this right now' So right now, I train, play, and train again tomorrow, so I'm trying hard every day to live again. I don't think of anything else.

"To be honest, I'm just grateful that the coach keeps putting me up like this and letting me keep playing. I think you have to work hard for it.”
