Steven Gerrard is one of two on a club's shortlist to become their new manager, according to a report.

The former Rangers boss has been of interest to several teams since he was sacked by Aston Villa back in October.

Turkish giants Trabzonspor is one of those clubs.

According to a report in a Turkish media outlet, Gerrard is on a two-man shortlist for their vacant gig.

The Turkish giants held talks with the Liverpool and England legend last week after sacking Abdullah Avci two months ago.

Konyaspor boss, İlhan Palut, is the other manager who Trabzonspor are supposedly keen to land.

It remains to be seen whether either manager will take on the job in the Super Lig.

Gerrard has previously been linked with the Poland and Leeds United jobs in recent months.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Rangers once turned down the chance to sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Former Ibrox hero Craig Moore insists that his old side had the opportunity to buy the Georgian attacker before he shot to international fame for his performances with the Italian giants.

Kvaratskhelia has been on sensational form for the Serie A outfit this season and has been touted for a mega-money move in the future.

He has 11 goals to his name so far this campaign, as well as nine assists for Luciano Spalletti's side.
