Rangers are reportedly in the middle of a transfer tussle with Newcastle and Leeds to land teenage talent Filip Skorb.

It is said that the Ibrox club are keen to sign the Portobello CFA Thistle player for their academy - but they face stiff competition from Premier League clubs.

The striker looks set to play for the Light Blues as a trialist in a youth tournament against Manchester United this weekend.

Skorb has already been down south to visit Leeds, and has also been invited to visit rivals Newcastle over the coming weeks.

However, according to the Daily Record, Rangers are willing to rival both clubs to secure the signature of the youngster.

Skorb doesn't have much first-team experience Michael Beale will be looking for in the short term.

Although, Rangers will be eying this signing up as a promising option for the future.
